COVID 19 & Bushfire Relief Work

DBBCKS has stepped up in times of natural disasters such as the bushfires in North Victoria and NSW.  The volunteers’ set up base camps in the fire affected areas with the help of the local CFA and started to provide fresh cooked meals and after assessing the situation arrange for essentials (blankets, bottled water, baby needs, personal sanitation needs for women, cloths for all and anything (that the locals asked for) to be send from the temple (Gurdwara) in Plumpton.  (These were delivered by trucks that the voluntaries had managed to get hold of at very short notice).

With the current COVID-19 pandemic, more than 120,000 vegetarian meals & thousands of groceries hampers have been supplied to people in self-isolation, elderly and & needy people. Providing free blankets have also been added to help in the winter months with many families and individual suffering in the cold.  This is ongoing for the foreseeable future
